Butter Cream Frosting
Diana's Recipe. Great for decorating cakes.
Ingredients
1/2 C

Crisco
|
1/2 C
|
butter
|
1 t
|
clear vanilla
|
4 C
|
powdered sugar (1 lb.)
|
2 T
|
milk
|
Preparation
- Cream butter and Crisco.
- Add
vanilla.
- Gradually add
sugar one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
- Scrape sides and botom of bowl often.
- When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry.
- Add milk and beat until light and fluffy.
- Keep icing covered with a damp cloth until you're ready to use
it.
- Makes 3 cups.
