Grandma New's recipe

Ingredients

2 t soy sauce
1 t sherry
1 t cornstarch
1/2 t salt
1/4 t ground ginger
pepper
1/2 lb sirloin, thinly sliced
1 T vegetable oil
1 small onion, sliced
1 med green pepper, seeded & sliced
1 small tomato, cut in wedges

Preparation

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sherry, cornstarch, salt, ginger and pepper.  Pour over sliced steak; marinate 10 min.  Over medium heat in a skillet, heat vegetable oil.  Add meat and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.  Add onion, green pepper and tomato.  Cover and simmer 3 - 5 minutes.  Serve over rice.  Serves 2 people.
