Cranberry Bread

Ingredients

  1. Place egg, orange juice, sugar, and shortening in bowl.  Cream until light and fluffy.  Stop and
  2. scrape bowl.  Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and orange peel.  Add flour mixture to egg
  3. mixture, mixing about 15 seconds.  Stop and scrape bowl.  Fold in cranberries and walnuts.
  4. Spread batter in greased and sugared 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.  Bake at 350 for 55 60 minutes. 
  5. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack. 

Yield: 1 loaf
